Day 1 – Portsmouth to Caen
Monday 16 June 2025

The ferry boards in Portsmouth at 23.00 with Brittany Ferries on our way to Caen. Participants will experience a night of relaxation on board, enjoy award-winning service and top-class facilities, prior to arriving in the French city of Caen first thing the next morning.

Day 2 – Caen to San Sebastian
Tuesday 17 June 2025

Fresh from the ferry and for those opting to make their own way to Caen, we will all meet at a centralised point. Today’s a long driving day, but a necessary one to get us to our home for the next 2 nights.

As we leave France, we make our way South past Bordeaux, heading across the border into Spain and the absolutely stunning Pyrenees mountains will start to frame the amazing city of San Sebastian, referred to as the ‘Mini Monaco of the Basque.’ This beautiful old town is simply exquisite.

Day 3 – Rest Day in San Sebastian
Wednesday 18 June 2025

Either a time to relax and enjoy the sounds and sights of the city, or perhaps join the team for a day driving out over the local Pyrenees roads, which is highly recommended and an absolute joy to behold.

Day 4 – San Sebastian to Salamanca
Thursday 19 June 2025

We say goodbye to San Sebastian and start travelling south-west along the coast, before heading down through the national parks and across the glorious Spanish B roads making our way to the city of Salamanca. Whether bathed in late-afternoon sunlight or floodlit by night there is something magical about Salamanca. This is a city of rare beauty, awash with golden sandstone overlaid with ochre-tinted Latin inscriptions.

There will be time to visit Salamanca’s two stunning Cathedrals and experience the bustling night life that this fantastic city has to offer. Its historic old town is a world heritage site, full of little streets to be explored, courtyards full of flowers, inviting squares and lively taverns where you can enjoy a good flamenco performance or try the local cuisine.

Days 5 – Salamanca to Badajoz
Friday 20 June 2025

As we are only a few kilometres (about an hour) from the Portuguese border, it would be rude not to pop in for a visit! Today we continue west into Portugal before picking up some of the most amazing mountain roads the team has ever had the pleasure of driving, and we have seen a few! This promises to be a phenomenal driving day.

After a good spot of lunch in Portugal, we then continue our journey South, back across the border, through more national parks before making our way to our next overnight stop at Badajoz.

Badajoz is situated close to the Portuguese border, on the bank of the river Guadiana and the entrance to this glorious city is simply spectacular. The Hotel offers stunning views of the Guadiana River, where you can enjoy an evening sampling the local delights or perhaps chance your luck in the Hotel’s casino.

Day 6 – Badajoz to Cordoba
Saturday 21 June 2025

Torque Events Cordoba

We head East today through the dramatic Spanish Sierra national parks on beautiful, sweeping empty roads, on route to our next night’s stop of the historic Roman city of Córdoba, the city of flowers.

Córdoba is famous around the world for its Great Mosque -The Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba. The cathedral was in fact built inside the mosque and is an important monument in the history of Islamic architecture, making it one of Spain’s major historic monuments and tourist attractions. It is also home to The Royal Stables of Córdoba, where the world-famous Iberian horses are bred and trained.

Day 7 – Cordoba to Madrid
Sunday 22 June 2025

Today we start heading North, making our way through yet more national parks and breathtaking scenery with exciting B roads travelling to our next destination which is the majestic city of Madrid.

Still these routes keep on giving as stunning scenery and rocky outcrops pass by, as we drive over the ribbon of almost perfect tarmac.

Day 8 – Madrid to Pamplona
Monday 23 June 2025

After our night stay at Madrid, refreshed and recharged, we continue North towards France, across the Pyrenees.

Pamplona is the capital of Navarre province in northern Spain. It’s best known for the Running of the Bulls (Feast of San Fermín) in July. During this legendary multiday festival, bulls are led through the city streets by daredevil runners.

Day 9 – Pamplona to Bordeaux
Tuesday 24 June 2025

Torque Events Bordeaux

Continuing North, across the border and back into France through the countryside, we make our way into the Wine region of Bordeaux. But Bordeaux isn’t just a city with the same name as the famous French wine. With its historical buildings and monuments, dozens of museums and art galleries, a brand-new wine experience center (yes wine does get mentioned quite a bit actually!) and some of the best food in all of France!

Day 10 – Bordeaux to Le Mans
Wednesday 25 June 2025

We continue our journey North into France, to our final night of the tour and what place better to end for any self-certified petrolhead, our destination for today needs little introduction. Le Mans, home of the legendary 24hr race.

We will be staying in the centre of the town, not long after the races have concluded so the fever and excitement for the event will still be the talk of the town, and most of the event paraphernalia and structures will still be visible, but traffic should thankfully be much lighter than the fortnight previous!

After a cheeky little tour of the circuit (many areas are on the public highway), a quick photo op at the circuit entrance, we then head into the city for our final evening of the adventure.

Day 11 – Le Mans to Caen
Thursday 26 June 2025

It’s time to bid farewell as those on the ferry take a leisurely drive back to Caen to catch their return ferry, whilst the remainder make their own way via their chosen routes home after an awesome adventure!
