Let’s Torque Italia | 5th – 12th July 2024

It’s going to be epic!

Team Torque are very excited to be offering our Let’s Torque Italia Tour from Friday 5 July – Friday 12 July 2024.
Delivered with the military precision and flair which you would expect from Torque Events, the Tour has involved careful planning and a reconnaissance visit by the Team, to ensure participants will not be disappointed with this Tour.

The Italian Lakes have been a popular holiday destination since Roman times lying on the south side of the Alps, in the basin of the river Po and the Mediterranean Sea. Our carefully selected route firstly visits Reims in France before heading to Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, takes in the beauty of Lake Maggiore and then back to the stunning Lake Thunersee in Switzerland, before heading to Mulhouse in Eastern France on the German and Swiss borders.

Mulhouse is home to The Cité de l’Automobile, which has the largest displayed collection of automobiles and contains the largest and most comprehensive collection of Bugatti motor vehicles in the world – definitely one for our petrolhead friends to visit.
Participants then drive back to Reims in France, which is a beautiful historic city on the Vesle River Reims. Together with Epernay, it is the world’s epicentre of champagne production and home to one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in France – “Our Lady of Reims”. Not forgetting it is also home to the legendary Reims ex-Formula 1 Grand Prix Grandstand.

On the Tour, participants will enjoy all of this whilst being hosted by our dedicated and experienced Torque Events Team.

Day 1 – Eurotunnel to the Champagne region
Friday 5 July 2024

Our first day sees us departing the UK via the Channel Tunnel in Calais, turning east in the direction of Epernay and Reims in the heart of the Champagne region. Autoroutes give way to fantastic B roads as we meander our way through vineyards for our first night’s destination at the LOISIUM Wine & Spa Hotel Champagne – a simply stunning hotel at the edge of the forest with a view of the sea of vines. Time to relax in the hotel’s Spa, and pamper yourself, before joining us for a sumptuous dinner with likeminded company. Your experience has finally started.

Day 2 – Lake Lucerne
Saturday 6 July 2024

On Day 2, we start making our way South, leaving the brilliant green of the vineyards of the Champagne region behind us, and head towards the majestic snow-capped mountains of the Alps.

Our next stop over will be the picturesque city of Lucerne, cradling the lake edge of its namesake. You will be accommodated in the stunning Art Deco Hotel Montana Luzern, which first opened at the turn of the last century.

This stunning Art deco hotel has glorious views over the lake, with service to match, having won Swiss city hotel of the year several times. Enjoy an evening aperitif on the lakeside terrace or take a walk into the city centre to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lucerne.

Day 3 and Day 4 – Lake Maggiore
Sunday 7 July and Monday 8 July 2024

On Day 3, we continue our journey South over what can only be described as some of the most exhilarating, but also stunning alpine passes the Alps has to offer.

We have created three levels of route for you to choose from be it a gentle scenic drive to a full-on alpine blast, or something in-between – the choice is ultimately yours. We will be awaiting your arrival at Lake Maggiore.

The Italians love their flamboyancy, and your home for the next 2 days will be The Grand Dino Hotel, which will not disappoint. The Grand Dino with its marble floors and gold guilted decorations of its grand reception never fails to impress, not to mention the stunning lakeside terrace and pools.

The following day is yours to do as you wish, should that be just relaxing next to the pool or taking a short river boat taxi to the nearby Isola Bella to visit the stunning Palazzo Borromeo, there’s plenty to entertain at Lake Maggiore.

Day 5 – Lake Thunersee
Tuesday 9 July 2024

Today we leave behind the opulence of the Italian Lakes and make our way back towards those fantastic mountains that have been framing our lakeside views for the past two days.

Another day of driving nirvana, as we make our way over more exquisite alpine passes to Lake Thunersee, which is an Alpine Lake in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland region, for our evening’s accommodation at the fantastic Seepark Thun Hotel.

The 4-star superior Hotel Seepark Thun is an oasis of tranquillity for connoisseurs, located directly on the shore of Lake Thun with views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains – simply stunning!

Day 6 – Mulhouse

Day 8 – Return Home
Friday 12 July 2024
