Let’s Torque Pyrenees | 30th May-4th June 2024

Day 1 – Portsmouth

The day starts with a hosted dinner in the historic Wardroom Mess in HMS EXCELLENT, which dates to 1862. Enjoy the delights of the oldest shore establishment in the Royal Navy, which is steeped in history and tradition. At 2130, we leave for the Portsmouth Ferry Terminal departing at 2245. All participants will be accommodated in the highest-class Commodore Cabins for the sailing.

Day 2 – Caen

Our ferry docks at 0645 in Caen, France and we commence our journey South towards Spain, arriving at the beautiful town of San Sebastian, often referred to as the Monaco of the Basque country. Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the stunning old town to enjoy the local delicacies and ambience.

Day 3 – San Sebastián

It’s a leisurely start to the day, enjoy the delights of San Sebastian or take the opportunity to see San Sebastian by air on our privately chartered helicopters (an optional extra). At 1100 it’s time for the real driving to start as we make our way over the beautiful Pyrenees passes to our overnight stay in Pau. The evening is yours to enjoy in the bustling town.

Day 4 – Pau

We depart Pau at 0900 hours for a full mountain driving experience across some stunning alpine passes, reaching the best high-altitude roads the Pyrenees has to offer. The more hardcore enthusiasts among the group will be offered an extended route on this day. We then drop back down, ending the day at Le Castel D’Alti with ample opportunity to regale your day’s driving exploits at our first special tour dinner.

Day 5 – Banères-de-Luchon

We depart Le Castel d’Alti at 1000 and take a leisurely drive to our final night’s stay at the beautiful Les Soucres de Cheverny. Here, you will be wined and dined in majestic surroundings, unwinding and reminiscing about your unforgettable driving experience. That is guaranteed!

Day 6 – Cheverny

We depart Cheverny at 1000 and head towards Le Mans where we will visit Le Mans Museum and take in the wonders of this historic race. This will be followed by a spot of lunch and a quick tour down the Mulsanne Straight, before heading to Caen at 1300 for our return ferry back to Portsmouth arriving at 2115 UK time.

The driving day is carefully considered to encapsulate fuel and lunch breaks as well as making time to take photographs and video of the stunning scenery.

We arrive at each hotel in the afternoon or early evening, giving you a chance to chill out and enjoy the numerous stunning locations in which you will find yourself.

There will be plenty of time to explore, but we will always provide recommendations to ensure that you make the most of your stay.
